Recommended in Who’s Who Legal: 2024 as a ‘Global Leader’ in Construction Expert Witnesses, Tim brings over 30 years experience as a chartered Quantity Surveyor. Tim leads the quantum team in Europe and has acted as quantum expert in over 50 cases, being cross examined in the TCC, Commercial Court and both domestic and international arbitrations.
James Bowling Barrister, 4 Pump Court
James has a commercial practice with particular expertise in construction and engineering, insurance & professional negligence, international arbitration and commercial law. James is instructed in high value and complex disputes alone, against silks and often with a team of juniors in his wake. He has built a stellar profile in international arbitration where he is instructed by governments and multi-national construction companies. In James’ domestic practice he is regarded as the go-to junior in adjudication enforcement and has been involved in some of the most complex and high profile TCC trials.

With over 40 years as a Chartered Engineer delivering and advising on major worldwide energy projects, Chris brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise. Chris has acted as an expert in over 75 cases and has been cross examined more than 30 times in both domestic and international arbitrations.

Emily is a Director in Freeths’ London office, specialising in managing construction and engineering disputes, and is part of Freeths’ Clean Energy, Waste and Sustainability Group. Emily has a particular interest in manufacturing / processing plants and energy projects with a wide range of dispute resolution experience, including international arbitration.
